Working Conditions

Legal Weekly Duration: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
Retirement Age: 57 years for women and 62 years for men
Working Contracts: Temporary employment contract and open-ended contract. Informal employment represents a big part of the work force.

Minimum Wage: The minimum monthly gross earnings in Moldava is MDL 600 (USD 50).
Average Wage: The average monthly gross earnings in Moldava is MDL 3,000 (USD 257).
Social contributions: Social Security Contributions Paid By Employers: Employers have to contribute 25% of the gross salary of their employee.
Social Security Contributions Paid By Employees: Employees have to contribute 4% of their gross salary.
